The months of supply of homes in Great Falls increased to 8.9 which was bad news for sellers.

More than 6 months of supply of homes favors buyers. This is one of the few areas in Northern Virginia where it was a buyer’s market.

The average sold price was down and the average days on the market increased. Active listings increased from 161 in April to 186 in May.

The large inventory was good news for buyers looking to negotiate good terms and a lower price.
